Economic Group
An Economic Group is a named grouping of up to 10 portfolios. It allows you to analyze these portfolios together, as if they were a single consolidated portfolio. Using the analogy of a family, each member can have their own portfolio, while the economic group shows the family's wealth as a whole.
How it works
An economic group is defined by a name (e.g., "Silva Family") and by the list of portfolios that compose it, identified by their IDs. You can change the group's name or composition at any time, always respecting the limit of 10 portfolios.
Each economic group has a status (PROCESSING, COMPLETED or INVALID) that indicates the state of its processing in Gorila's engine. For the group to reach the COMPLETED status, all of its portfolios need to have all of their transactions already calculated and reflected (see the portfolio status).
What you can query
Once an economic group is created, GorilaCORE provides consolidated views at the group level:
- Group metrics: Net Asset Value (NAV), Profit & Loss (P&L), Time-Weighted Return (TWR), invested amount, liquidity, volatility, Sharpe ratio and drawdown.
- Positions: the group's positions, with average price, market value, IRR, TWR, P&L, invested amount, liquidity and security prices per position.
- Transactions and events: the transactions and security events of the portfolios that compose the group.
These views follow the same concepts and parameters as a portfolio's views. To understand each metric, see the documentation for NAV, Invested Amount, P&L, TWR, IRR, Liquidity, Volatility and Sharpe Ratio, Position and Portfolio Security Events.
Where to access
In GorilaCORE, you can create, list (with search by name), read, update and delete the organization's economic groups.
